Artist’s Note – Bathing in Wonder

Far beyond the land of forgotten tears where all form is ageless, even the abstract is in tact. In this realm, the mystery becomes clear. Enlightenment is a feeling of being, a feeling of wonder the shores of Cape Cod gave me as a child. It was there I learned sand dollars made sense and light lets the life within shine ever onwards. Each word we speak and hug we give has meaning. To reveal them with love is to be constantly bathing in wonder. – Scott Ibex

Behind the Musical Timeline And Creative Process of Bathing in Wonder – A very special artist’s note

Bathing in Wonder is an experimental guitar composition initially written and performed by Scott Ibex in Quebec, Canada during the winter of 2015. It was recorded in 432Hz, the pitch at which the universe resonates. The artist would now like to explain the unique creative process behind this album. First, individual guitar motifs were initially recorded on Scott’s phone over the course of three years, a fascinating digital palate from which to synthesize ideas. Musical themes which returned in full or partial form after a year or more of not being played were then explored more deeply and crafted into the overall 36 minute composition. It blossomed into a richer neo-classical musical epoch when Tamara Frieda improvised various accompanying and solo violins. The album was then finished in Canada, where it was produced by Scott Ibex and sound engineer, Antoine Dufour. Mr. Ibex then worked out the finishing touches of his production with Mark Freezer, who was the final mix engineer involved with this art. All the gratitude in the world to Tamara, Antoine, John, and Mark. Extra special thanks to Sasha Moon for her wonderful cover painting and M. Hallberg for digital layout extraordinaire. I could not have ever made this art without all of your help and wonderful collaborative hearts. - Scott Ibex
