Soothsayer

from Stained Glass Heart by Scott Ibex

/

about

Each of my albums begins with a song to invoke the muse. Soothsayer bespectacles my quest for love. Its hypnotic tones foreshadow a deeply personal and introspective journey revealing moments of heartbreak and hope. This invocation begins the musical mantra that is Stained Glass Heart.

lyrics

Soothsayer
Words and Music by Scott Ibex

So say soothsayer, what say my heart? Will it be open for love, when chimes return?
So say soothsayer, what say my soul? Can I forgive myself, for letting true love go?

Can colors brighten? Can skies alight? Can magic lift my guilt away, can my soul take flight?
Can we be even? Fresh slate, clean start? Can life just let me be, somewhere between this heart?

So say soothsayer, will there be luck? If I will participate in life, can love just come?
So say soothsayer, what say your grace? Will fate bestow upon me a second chance beyond the take?

As you wish, as I wonder about...
So say soothsayer...
